Since 2011, CRC has maintained an FAA registered Drug & Alcohol program permitting the operation to provide the following MRO services including but not limited to ID/OD Grinding, Non-Destructive Testing, Passivation, Plating, R&R of Helicoils and Keenserts, Deburring, and some assembly to restore parts to their original drawing/manufactured specifications.
CRC’s grind shop is set up with ID, OD, Centerless grinders, Center Lap machine, Optical Comparator, Profilometer, various inspection equipment, a Deburr, and an assembly bench. The ID grinders are capable of holding a tolerance of .0001” – .0002”. The OD grinders are capable of holding a tolerance of .00005” – .0001”. The Centerless grinders are capable of holding .00005”.
CRC’s grind operators are experienced professionals with a minimum 25 years grinding aerospace materials with plating such as chrome, anodize, grinding composites such as graphite bushings, the grind team has the expertise, equipment, tooling, and know-how to repair a large variety of parts as well as a dedicated tool maker on site.
Currently, the organization is making the necessary personnel and equipment investment to become a certified repair station in 2020. As a repair station, CRC would be permitted to issue the 8130 tag/form approving or certifying that new and used parts meet conformity requirements from the “Original” Airworthiness side of the FAA.
